Organic version

As more parents become aware of the use of bleaching chemicals etc in fabrics, I have also brought in some organic options.

For most babies, normal 100% cotton is good enough, but if your baby tends to have sensitive skin or conditions like eczema, why not opt for organic fabrics?

The organic fabrics I provide are all GOTS certified:

  • It stands for "Global Organic Textile Standard" for farming methods benefiting farmers, the environment, and consumers. Natural, non-toxic means are used to control crops from seed to harvesting.
  • The whitening process is a non-chlorine, eco-friendly bleaching technique which results in the natural cotton color that will be evident in the tone of organic base cloth. No chemical brighteners are used, so the end-product is a soft natural 'off' white.
  • All dyes are OEKO-TEX certified. Less energy, salt and alkali are used in the colouring process, and no contact is made with heavy metals or toxic substances.

Do note that as organic fabrics go through less 'beautifying' processes as normal fabrics, the dye finishing tends to be more uneven, and colours less vibrant. Fabric tends to be a little more coarse too. On the plus side these fabrics tend to be slightly thicker and tougher.

Please refer to the customization page for choice of facial expression.
My organic fabrics available are as follows:

As organic fabrics do cost a lot more to bring in, there will be a $xx additional charge for an organic Puang.
